Tasty Recipes!!
Well you lucky "Stampin' Divas" club got to try these at your club last week and Cyndi promised her recipe so here it is along with her St. Patty's Punch.
Cyndi always comes up with new things and haven't had something I didn't like yet. Thanks for the recipe Cyndi.
Pinwheels
1 8oz pkg cream cheese softened
Mayo (just enough to make spreading the cream cheese easier)
Dill to taste (we like a lot of dill)
Dill pickles thinly sliced
Ham thinly sliced
1 pkg of flour tortilla
Mix cream cheese, dill and mayo until a spreadable.
Spread layer onto a flour tortilla. Cover the tortilla with one layer of ham, excluding top portion of tortilla. Place one layer of pickles in middle third of the tortilla. Fold bottom section of tortilla over pickles and roll the remaining tortilla using the exposed cream cheese on the top section to help seal the roll. Slice roll. If you have kids helping (husbands observing) they'll love eating the end pieces!
St. Patty's drink
1 half gallon lime sherbet ice cream
40 oz can of pineapple juice
2 liter ginger ale
Place scoop of lime sherbet in a glass, fill glass with a combination of pineapple juice and ginger ale. Serve with a spoon and straw. (Can also be made in a punch bowl) Lime or lemon juice can also be added.
Here's another wonderful recipe shared by Anita from the "Crazy Crafters" club. Everyone loved these brownies and some have already made them for their own events. Thanks for sharing your recipe Anita.
Fudge Brownies
1 c. butter
2.c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. of flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 c. oatmeal.
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, and mix well. Add flour, salt and baking soda. Mix. Add oatmeal and mix. Save 1/4 of mixture for top. Put rest of mixture in bottom of 18x 15 inch pan or 2 (9x13-inch) pans
FILLING
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 (14 oz) Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 vanilla
Put ingredients in top of double boiler. Heat and stir until melted. Spread filling in thin layer over crust and sprinkle top with reserved oatmeal mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Also I use semi-sweet chocolate chips. I have used the milk chocolate before and they are way to sweet.
